your children’s chinuch.
It's easy to leave your child's chinuch in the hands of the competent mechanchim they have in yeshiva, school or cheder. After all, being a parent is so much more than that.
But today, with so much pulling our children away, we need to take an active role in their ruchnius as well.
Family time is sacred time. Spending moments together just chatting, bonding and having fun does wonders for a child's development.
Do you:
Have designated time with your children to review their week on any given week?
Feel like you are in touch with the weekly happenings in the parsha?
Know what unique mitzvos or middos are discussed in that week's parsha?
Granted, your school and yeshiva days are a haze. But there's no reason you shouldn't be informed. Informed enough to take an active role in creating a varemkeit and Torah vibe in your home.
